Head covering. All guests cover their heads inside the Gurdwara. Men will be provided with a head covering on entry. Women wearing Indian attire use their dupatta. Otherwise, please bring a scarf.
Shoes. All guests remove their shoes before entering the prayer hall. There are designated areas for men and women to store them.
Sitting. During the ceremony, everyone sits on a carpeted floor in keeping with the Sikh principle of equality. Chairs are available along the walls in the back for anyone who needs them — please use them.
Modesty. Legs should be covered. If you are not wearing Indian clothing, please ensure your outfit is modest.
Color note. Please avoid wearing all-black or all-white, as both are traditionally associated with mourning in South Asian cultures.
Photos. Photos during the ceremony are welcome. Just be respectful of the space.
